Linc-Cymru - Launch of Innovative Housing Scheme for Older People
Good Relations launched an innovative new specialist housing scheme for older people in Newport with an event that attracted key stakeholders and saw the Welsh Assembly Government Minister for Social Justice and Regeneration, Edwina Hart officially open the scheme.
BBC Wales Today recorded a feature on the new facilities interviewing tenants and key Linc-Cymru personnel. Press coverage was also gained in key local newspaper the South Wales Argus.
Pre-launch visits were also arranged for local Newport councillors ensuring they were fully aware of the benefits of the extraCare scheme, one of the first in Wales which sees tenants have a flexible, individual care plan to cater for their particular needs and receive personal care as required.
