Tackling skills challenges in Wales Ufi/learndirect - Tackling skills challenges in Wales

Good Relations provides integrated communications support to learndirect. This involves public affairs, media relations, and event management services. learndirect is the largest e-learning network of its kind in the world, and it operates a network of more than 750 online learning centres in England and Wales. These provide flexible learning for adults wanting to improve existing skills or to learn new ones.

Good Relations has helped learndirect meet key stakeholders, developed the appeal of events to these stakeholders, and supported this activity through enhanced media engagement, including using digital media.

One highlight of Good Relations' work for learndirect has been the organisation of the learndirect Achievement Awards for Wales. This was an event designed to recognise exceptional achievement by people involved in learndirect courses. The event took place in the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. It was attended by key stakeholders, including Assembly Members, and received significant media attention. Good Relations Wales' chair, Noreen Bray, hosted the event.

Good Relations Wales helped learndirect put together a video of the Achievement Awards, which is now available on YouTube
