Mike John, Consultant

Born in Gower, Swansea, Mike moved into the field of private consultation, specialising in communications and marketing after completing 34 years working at senior level in local government.

The holder of a University of Wales Masters degree in Business Administration, he has considerable personal experience of the Welsh political scene to the highest level and is recognised for his expertise in policy development, change management and simply "making things happen".

He has extensive expertise and contacts among key members of the National Assembly for Wales. He also has a depth of knowledge in the fields of policy development, the political process and trade unions, event management, education, personnel management, finance, social services, media & public relations and equal opportunities.

In 2007, Mike was commissioned as Project Director to oversee and manage the opening ceremony and lunch for the National Assembly for Wales. He is also Secretary of the Wales Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust and Secretary of the newly formed Wales Branch of the Britain-Australia Society.
