Welsh Language

About one in five people in Wales are Welsh speakers, with the numbers having increased recently. In order to communicate effectively in Wales it is important to consider the Welsh language and how it can help you.

In many areas of Wales, Welsh is the predominant language. Even where this isn't the case, Welsh has equal status and it is important that the language is treated with respect and sensitivity.

Members of the Good Relations team can speak Welsh fluently and will guide you on your approach to the Welsh language. In engaging with Welsh speakers, we recognise the importance of the Welsh language media and have outstanding contacts in Welsh language media outlets across Wales.

Good Relations has a Welsh language policy endorsed by the Welsh Language Board and we can provide you with the full range of our communications services through the medium of Welsh.
